Aaron has an impressive athletic resume that demonstrates his diverse background. He has run the Boston Marathon in 2:46 and completed the Madison Ironman in 10:29. He has clocked in a 4 minute mile, has a sub-3-minute Fran time, and squats 400 pounds. He ran track and cross country for the University of Illinois, then became a duathlon age-group national champion. With everything he’s accomplished in the endurance world, he quickly switched gears when he was introduced to CrossFit. The challenging, varied workouts and community camaraderie captivated his attention so he and his business partner and fellow Big Ten track alum, Adam Kress, opened River North CrossFit.
As a coach, he loves seeing the increase in self-confidence and mental preparedness his athletes gain as a product of CrossFit. He’s passionate about providing a service of expert coaching, wellness counseling, and fostering a community that makes the journey fun.
