Tim has always been an athlete and played baseball and golf at the collegiate level at Sauk Valley CC before heading to NIU to further his education. As his collegiate days were drawing to an end, he struggled to control his weight and found working out as both a health benefit and stress reliever. He discovered a love of weightlifting and a natural understanding of kinesiology and biomechanics. In 2001, he began personal training in Chicago. After spending 9 years in a one-on-one setting, he was exposed to CrossFit for the first time in the form of “Cindy” (5 pull-ups, 10 push-ups, 15 squats for 20 minutes). Shortly after, he obtained his Level 1 and has never looked back. Tim has been coaching and programming CrossFit since 2010 and joined River North CrossFit in 2015.
